The work solves the actual scientific and technical problem of increasing the complex of mechanical and tribological properties of functional materials due to the formation of metastable structural states. The regularities of the realization of physical phenomena and phase-structural transformations that develop during the exploitation of intellectual materials, which ensure the formation of their physical-mechanical and operational properties, are summarized.
