Subject of study: unstable soils of subgrade, ground foundations of transport and other structures. Research methods: to perform research tasks and prove scientific hypotheses, a choice of known research methods was made and original ones were developed. The study of the physical and mechanical properties of materials was carried out using standard methods, the phase composition of the cement stone and its microstructure using a complex of physical and chemical methods: optical microscopy, IR spectroscopy. The following have been proposed and implemented: an improved technology for the installation of a laying layer for a ballastless bridge deck and a technology for creating a polymer soil composite at the base of a reinforced concrete culvert by injecting a polyurethane polymer into the soil; an improved method for searching for a rational section of a structure of a steel-reinforced concrete superstructure with a reinforced concrete upper chord; a method for calculating the value of the reduced mass of a railway track (including a sleeper base) using a spatial model of dynamic deformations of a railway track based on the theory of elasticity, taking into account the boundaries of the space involved in the vibrations of each rail support at the calculated time.
