The object of the research is domestic varieties of sugar sorghum in the agroclimatic conditions of the Forest Steppe of Ukraine. The subject of the study is the influence of sowing dates and the genetic potential of sugar sorghum on plant productivity and the output of raw materials for growing in the Forest Steppe of Ukraine. The purpose of the work is to analyze the application of certain elements of cultivation technology and the influence of the genotype of sugar sorghum plants on yield, taking into account changes in the agroclimatic conditions of the Forest Steppe zone of Ukraine. Methods of researches - laboratory, field, measuring and weighing, statistical. For the first time in the central forest-steppe of Ukraine, a study was conducted to determine the influence of sowing dates and planting density on the growth, development and productivity of plants, depending on the genotype of sugar sorghum.
