A new source material of sugar beets with improved quantitative and qualitative selection-genetic and economic-valuable traits was created and studied for the selection of parental components of hybrids on the basis of СМS. Fundamentally new initial selection materials of sugar beets (O-type lines and their analogues from the Central Agricultural System, 2xMM pollinators) and methods of obtaining and evaluating them were introduced into the selection process, donors of high yield and sugar content of root crops, improved shape of the root crop, technological quality of sugar raw material, resistance to diseases and stressful environmental conditions.
