The obtained products are the result of the implementation of the 1st stage of the NDR. The purpose of the research is a comprehensive conceptual solution to the problem of the ethnogenesis of the Ukrainian people in the system of the modern synthetic paradigm of Ukrainian studies.
The object of research is the ethnic genesis of the Ukrainian people.
The subject of the study is the systematization and conceptualization of the problem of ethnogenesis of the Ukrainian people in modern scientific and social discourse.
The product was obtained as a result of the use of the latest data in the field of archeology, the mapping of the territory of Ukraine with the mapping of points of settlements of the Scythian and Slavic eras, the identification of nests of settlements in their relationship with the structures of tribal unions known from historical sources. Among the applied methods are the comparativist method, modeling, cartographic, and among the approaches used are axiological and genetic. Comparative studies were carried out in the field of Slavic ethnology; manifestations of the Iranian substratum in the ethnic complex of the traditional culture of Ukrainians are traced; previously not reflected in our literature, mutual influences in folklore, visual arts, beliefs of the ancestors of the Slavic and Alanic tribes were traced (which made it possible to identify specific features of the ethnogenesis of Ukrainians in its early stages). The phenomena of Proto-Slavic-Proto-Celtic language connections, coincidences in the folklore of the Celts and Proto-Slavics, previously not noted in the literature, were revealed based on Eastern European linguistic, ethnographic and archaeological material.
The previously unexplored influences of the culture of Indo-Iranian tribes on the culture of East Slavic social structures were traced on the material of East European onomastics.
Most of the expected results of the GDR were obtained for the first time.
