We investigated that the intravenous anesthetic ketamine inhibited calcium transients in ileal myocytes, which were restored by the selective agonist of TRPC4 channels, (-) Englerin A. The inhibitory effect of ketamine on carbachol-stimulated contractions of the mouse ileum was investigated using the method of tensometric recording of contractions. We also demonstrated that the anesthetic lidocaine suppresses the carbachol-induced contractile activity of the mouse small intestine. Product Description popup.authors Agashkov Kyrilo S.
