The purpose of the research is to develop and introduce methodological principles of forming micropopulations of livestock of local breeds and breeds of dual (combined) direction of productivity with unique productive characteristics into the world practice of dairy farming.
The object of the study: polymorphism of genes involved in the formation of cattle milk quality indicators, biochemical composition of milk, the content of microelements in milk, selection processes in the formation of micropopulations.
Subject of research: genetic structure of cattle breeds according to β- and κ-casein gene loci and the relationship of animal genotypes with indicators of milk productivity.
Practical significance of the obtained results. For the first time, the development and implementation of the main methodological principles of the formation of micropopulations of livestock of local breeds and breeds of dual (combined) direction of productivity with unique productive characteristics was carried out in the practice of dairy farming.
