Analytical solutions of statics problems for a long oval cylindrical shell have been obtained. An analytical-numerical approach to solving boundary-value problems for cylindrical shells of arbitrary non-circular cross-section under the action of static loads has been developed. An effective numerical algorithm for studying the dynamic behavior of smooth and discretely reinforced cylindrical shells of elliptical cross-section under impulse loads has been constructed. The theory and numerical methods for solving physically nonlinear static problems of the theory of thin non-circular cylindrical shells made of composite materials have been developed.
