Interim report on the SRW: 267 pages, consisting of 3 chapters, conclusions, list of used sources (93 sources) and 8 appendices, contains 79 figures and 4 tables.
The purpose of the research is to allocate different types of virtual collections (taxonomic, reference, author’s, memorial) on the basis of scientific attribution and digitization of collections of the State Museum of Natural History, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Worked out and entered into the database Data Centre “Biodiversity of Ukraine” <http://dc.smnh.org/> from herbarium and entomological collection SMNH NASU in total 640 species / 11787 records (Bryophyta, Marchantiophyta, Tracheophyta, Odonata, Carabidae, Staphylinidae, Ciidae, Buprestidae, Neuroptera, Bombus). As a result of digitization of herbarium and entomological collections of the State Museum of Natural History, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine 7 catalogs of separate species, genera and families of plants and insects were prepared. Analysis of literary sources published in the XIX century allowed to find out the terms and exact routes of expeditions of researchers, clarify the names of the locations that have been out of use until now, to define places of collection of separate museum items. It is established author’s labels Herbich F., Zawadzki A., Łobarzewski H., Voloshchak O., Rheman A., Tynetski M., Nowicki M., Dybowski B., Wierzejski A., ŁomnickiM., Dziędzielewicz J., Werkhratskyi I., Śnieżek J. – the founders of scientific collections of the State Museum of Natural History, NASU, their virtual author’s collections were established. A number of museum items from the collections of SMNH NASU has been pegged to the certain literary sources, the years of collecting of these items have been clarified. The software of the information resource Data Centre "Biodiversity of Ukraine" can be used for scientific work in other museums of natural profile.
