The subject of the study is the process of grain peeling with the separation of the surface shells from the kernel of the grain with different technological indicators. The purpose of the research work is to determine the maximum force load of the grain, which ensures effective separation of the shells during the peeling process with minimal destruction of the endosperm and grinding, as well as taking into account the strength of the grain and its structural components. The theoretical justification and calculation of the productivity and geometric and kinematic parameters of the rotary-blade machine for effective separation of grain shells from the core have been proved; the necessary data for determining the transport capacity of the working rotor when using a friction machine were obtained, the geometric and kinematic parameters of the rotor-blade machine were substantiated. An expression for obtaining the ultimate moisture saturation of shells with known values of air parameters is proposed; the procedure for calculating the productivity and geometric and kinematic parameters of the machine for effective separation of the shells from the core from the grain is substantiated; taking into account the high dynamics of the process of "capture" of moisture by fruit shells, calculations were made for reduced time intervals and graphic dependencies were built for the process of grain hydration.
