Non-standard employment has been studied in three perspectives: political economic, behavioral and from the point of view of Public Employment Management and social protection; the main advantages and disadvantages of the spreading of the new non-standard forms of employment in society have been highlighted (expanding employment opportunities and labor mobility, the ability of quickly adapting in emergency situations and at the same time – complete or partial lack of guarantees of employment and wages, social protection, social isolation, increased professional stress (“fragility of identity”)). The main trends in the sphere of labor in the modern world have been identified; the features of employment of the Ukrainian population during the COVID-19 pandemic and the war were analyzed.
