The subject of the research is the linguistic cognitive and linguistic and cultural aspects of translation. As a result of researching the research topic, it was determined that the effectiveness of future translators' work with the translation language portfolio is ensured by providing students with independence in determining the goals of mastering professionally oriented translation, planning work on mastering knowledge, skills, abilities and communication abilities in accordance with their own needs, and determining ways to master these components of professionally oriented translation competence, provided that the teacher provides consultations if necessary. The practical value of the results and scientific and technical products is obvious and lies in the possibility of their use in translation studies. The main results of the work can be used by translators in the course of their professional activities, as well as in the educational process: in writing master's theses in translation studies, in teaching academic disciplines: "German Lexicology, German History, Theory and Practice of Translation, German Stylistics, Linguistic Studies, Intercultural Communication Theory, as well as in the compilation of thesaurus and associative dictionaries. Students of Kyiv National Linguistic University use the results of the research in their master's theses in the course of their qualifying master's theses. The results of the study have been applied in the practice of teaching philological and translation studies, special courses, as well as in the scientific works of postgraduate and doctoral students in both linguistics and related fields.
