It was determined that the hygienic condition of the oral cavity worsens in adolescents who use electronic devices for smoking, compared to adolescents who do not smoke. Indicators characterizing inflammation of the gums during smoking increase, but indicators of the properties of oral fluid do not have large differences in both groups. The species composition of aerobic microorganisms in the oral cavity of laboratory rats consists of non-pathogenic and opportunistic bacteria - coagulase-negative non-hemolytic and α-hemolytic staphylococci, streptococci, gram-positive bacilli, escherichia. Under long-term exposure to electronic cigarette smoke, the species and quantitative composition of the microflora of rats changed: the amount of normal flora decreased, the growth of opportunistic and pathogenic bacteria. There is a need to raise awareness among adolescents about dental diseases associated with the use of electronic smoking devices and to target smoking cessation programs. This will allow teenagers to overcome bad habits, improve oral hygiene and have good health, which is necessary for general well-being.
