The object of the study is the water quality of centralized and non-centralized underground water supply sources of the Sloviansk community in the emergency conditions of the war in Ukraine.
The purpose of the work is to perform an ecological and hygienic assessment of water quality for centralized and non-centralized water supply sources of in the Sloviansk city in the emergency conditions of the war in Ukraine.
Research methods – the research design is built on the Citizen Science model, water samples were taken directly from water supply sources by volunteer activists, water samples were analyzed using instrumental and laboratory methods based on Ukrchimanaliz LLC. Ecological and sanitary assessment of water supply sources suitability was performed according to limiting signs group indices of harmfulness of substances in accordance with hygienic standards and criteria of DSTU 4808.
According to the results of the work, there were determined the content of pollutants and water quality of centralized water supply sources and non-centralized wells in the territory of the Sloviansk city community. Researchers have provided general guidelines for use and limitations to meet various human water needs. There were revealed the features of nitrate pollution and increased content of dissolved salts in the water of wells, which citizens use for water supply in emergency conditions.
