 The object of research is automated control systems for technological processes (slab heating, hot blowing, steel proofing). The purpose of the work is theoretical substantiation and development of proposals for the use of research results and analysis of technological databases for the adjustment and modernization of automated control systems. Results and their novelty: theoretical foundations and substantiation of the possibility of using experimental data to configure the software of the Slab heating control system, to assess the condition of technological units; construction of an algorithm for correction and assessment of informativeness of the knowledge base of the technological process of metal melting in the unit "Pich-Kivsh" based on neural network technologies. Scope: Mining and metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine and abroad, educational process, research work.
