Purpose of work the purpose of the R&D work performance (according to the Grant Agreement No.724034 AERO-UA dd. 01.10.2016, pilot project 3.2.b “Advanced low-cost small turbine”, Task 3 “Optimization of turbine blades cooling system”) - optimization of the cooling system of the blades of the CT of the engine AI 450M by increasing the efficiency of the blades cooling system. The cooling efficiency of the CT blades was improved by ensuring the required air flow rate through the TOBI (tangential on board injector) and working blades and by minimizing leaks in the compressor turbine cavities. Stages of R&D performance: The work is carried out in two stages. 1. Experimental and calculation studies, aimed at clarifying the hydraulic model of the TC cooling system and improving the cooling air supply system to the blades of the TC: 1.1 Determination of the flow characteristics of the blades of the TC; 1.2 Analysis of the metering characteristics of the TOBI; 1.3 Analysis of the metering characteristics of the locking joints of the CT rotor wheels. 2. Experimental and calculation studies, aimed at increasing the resource of the CT blades: 2.1 Determination and reduction of air temperature at the entrance to the blades; 2.2 Determination and reduction of air temperature at the outlet of the TOBI when cooling air is supplied to the CT blades; 2.3 Experimental studies of the effectiveness of options for cooling the blade root by means of comparative thermometry; 2.4 Structure optimization of the throttle cover of the CT blades; 2.5 Optimization of the internal cooling channels of the CT blades; The results of R&D work performance: 1) a handbook for blades aerodynamic tests was issued in order to control the stability of the manufacture of internal channels.
