Description

The properties of 2D and 3D copper and silver matrices with deposited nanostructured metals (Ag, Au, Pd) were studied, and their effectiveness as catalytically active cathodes for CO2 reduction in the medium of organic aprotic solvents was established. The fundamentals for designing Ag@M bimetallic nanoparticles of a given composition and geometry by galvanic replacement were developed. The dependences of the composition and geometry of Ag@M nanoparticles on the conditions of galvanic replacement (the nature of the metal (M = Au, Pd, Pt), the composition of the solution, the temperature, and the duration of the process) were determined. The sensory properties of Ag@M nanoparticles to heavy metal ions and molecules of organic substances, as well as the catalytic properties in the oxidation of organic substrates with environmentally friendly oxidants, were established.
