New products based on chitosan hydrogels functionalized with chondroitin sulfate, hyaluronic acid, and N-stearoylethanolamine have been created. These hydrogels were characterized using FTIR analysis, GC-MS, and potentiometric titration of polymeric polycations and polyanions. 2. Hydrogels with the composition of chitosan-hyaluronate-NSE (1:1:0.5 during synthesis) in the form of a gel film, chitosan-hyaluronate (1:1) in the form of a gel-film, chitosan-chondroitin-6-sulfate (1:0.7) in the form of a gel-ointment had optimal mechanical and physicochemical properties and were biodegradable in vitro. 3. Biocompatibility of the components of the created chitosan hydrogels in vitro was confirmed by their effect on pseudonormal cells of epithelial tissues (line MCF10A human mammary gland, HaCat line human keratinocytes, HEK293 line human embryonic kidney) and connective tissue (line Balb/c 3T3 mouse fibroblasts). All components of chitosan hydrogels with NSE were non-toxic to the studied cells. 4. Biodegradability of the created chitosan hydrogels in vitro depends on their composition and the testing conditions. The studied hydrogels were stable in 0.9% physiological solution, while in the presence of a complete culture medium containing 10% FBS, these hydrogels underwent degradation for >24 h. The created chitosan gel films will be used during the 2nd stage of research (2024), when their in vitro biotolerance, anti-inflammatory, and wound-healing effects will be tested in an experiment on wound healing in laboratory animals. According to the results of the intermediate stage of the conducted research (2023), an article was submitted to the Ukrainian Biochemical Journal.
