Abstract
Research and development work «Improvement of static, dynamic analysis
means for program code, binary code, embedded systems and mobile
software», code “Kagul”.
Object of research: Software for the Android OS.
Research subject: Methods and tools for detecting undeclared capabilities of
mobile software under the Android OS.
The purpose of the research: Improvement and expansion of the functionality of
code analysis tools for software code analysis automated workplace, based on the
results of the "Oryl" R&D work, in terms of the development and integration of a
set of software tools for static, dynamic, analysis of mobile applications.
Research methods: Analysis and synthesis of software models of tools for
detecting undeclared opportunities, computer experiment.
Obtained results: On the 1st stage of the "Kagul" R&D project, the following
tools were improved and developed: 1) tools for static analysis of the software
code of mobile applications of the most popular Android versions with the
possibility of analyzing the structure of APK mobile applications, software code
partially restored by decompilation of mobile platform applications; 2) tools for
dynamic analysis, emulation, symbolic and partially symbolic execution of
software code of mobile applications; 3) tools for finding vulnerabilities in the
software code of mobile applications with support for the analysis of
vulnerabilities and undeclared mobilities specific to Android mobile applications
(OWASP Mobile Top-10, MAS, MASVS), 4) tools for hybrid analysis of Android
software to expand the possibilities of symbolic and partially symbolic analysis
software code dependencies by fuzzing and analysis of software code
dependencies at the stage of updates.
Practical significance of the obtained results: The obtained results can be used to
conduct state expertise in the field of information protection or certification tests
for the purpose of researching computer programs used in executive authorities for
