The purpose of the study is to investigate the biological and technical and technological foundations of environmentally friendly packaging of milk and dairy products, to identify promising materials and methods of such packaging. The results are in line with the goal, according to the schedule. During 2023, the biological and technical and technological principles of environmentally friendly biodegradable packaging of milk and dairy products, the main methods of such packaging and typical materials used for this purpose were investigated. Biobased materials should protect these dairy products from environmental influences and ensure quality preservation during transportation and storage, and the most critical in this sense are mechanical and barrier properties, resistance (thermal and chemical), and processability. Polylactide and starch-polycaprolactone are the best suited to meet these criteria. An article on the project was published in the Ukrainian scientific professional publication Food Resources, as well as three articles in the proceedings of international scientific and practical conferences.
