The purpose of the work: The main purpose of the research is to study the evolution of Ukrainian-Russian relations from the time Ukraine gained independence to the present day, in particular inter-elite interaction, problems of national minorities, economic interdependence, the main factors and features of Russian aggression against Ukraine in 2014-2021. In the research work the methods of history, historiography and related socio-humanitarian disciplines (political science, ethno-political science, sociology, cultural studies, economics, etc.) will be used, in particular: cliometrics, longitudinal analysis, comparative studies, prosopographic research, techno-economic forecasting, cultural anthropometry. Special attention will be focused on the source support of the research, including due to the involvement of evidence and information deposited on the Internet, including their selection, analysis and interpretation.
