popup.description1
Development of a prototype of an optical smoke sensor based on a plasmon-polariton photodetector. Development and testing under the conditions of ANSI-UL 217 (DSTU EN 54-7:2004) of a smoke sensor with a reduced probability of false alarm from ordinary dust particles and high humidity, which includes such a smoke sensor, an optical circuit, a working camera and the necessary electronics.
popup.description2
The object of development described in the interim report is a smoke detector based on a plasmon-polariton photodetector (PPFD). The purpose of this stage is the development of the design and construction of the PPFD and its manufacture with optimized parameters. In the course of the work, numerical modeling and optimization of the resonant characteristics of the PPFD were carried out. It was calculated that for maximum intense excitation of the surface plasmon-polariton resonance at the working wavelength of 808 nm, it is necessary to use subwavelength diffraction gratings with a period of 630 nm. The angle of incidence of light should be 15 degrees. The grating modulation depth is 50 nm, and the spacing is ~0.4.
A PPFD based on p-n junctions on silicon using interference photolithography technology with diffraction gratings based on Au and Al, with good optoelectric and electrophysical characteristics, was produced. Its resonant characteristics are tuned to obtain the greatest sensitivity to smoke particles and combustion products. The following PPFD characteristics were achieved: maximum polarization sensitivity Ip/Is=8:1, angular half-width of resonance maximum DQ=5°, photosensitivity in resonance maximum Iph=0.05-0.12 A/W.
An optoelectronic circuit for registering the resonance shift in the PPFD has been developed, which is insensitive to dust shading of the PPFD surface, and registers only the presence of smoke particles. Based on this, a utility model patent was filed. The electronic circuit allows you to measure the photocurrent of the PPFD and control its temperature to prevent moisture deposition
