The object of the research is the scientific research development processes in the Southern region of Ukraine.
The purpose of the work is to generalize the best innovative developments of regional science, completed and proposed by scientific institutions and institutions of higher education for implementation by regional governing bodies and the economic complex of the Southern region of Ukraine.
Research methods: system-structural analysis and synthesis; empirical, comparison and generalization; transition from abstract to concrete, analogies and grouping and methods of data sets systematization, economic-statistical, financial, SWOT-analysis, graphic, and institutional analysis.
Tasks and research results. The following tasks were accomplished:
- An analysis of the regional fundamental, applied research and innovative developments structure in the Southern region of Ukraine in 2021-2023 was carried out;
- Approaches to the comprehensive analysis of the scientific institutions and higher educational institutions participation in regional targeted and comprehensive programs have been developed;
- Proposals have been developed to optimize the system of training qualified personnel, develop the system of training highly qualified specialists and increase the young scientists` innovative potential;
- An effectiveness assessment of the scientific, educational and innovative ecosystem functioning was carried out based on the assessment of financial costs for research and innovative developments in the region.
- The structural elements and functioning dynamics of the regional innovation infrastructure, regional innovation networks and corporate science and training institutes are determined
