The object of the research is social relations that arise in the field of formation and implementation of the legal mechanism for providing the defense forces of Ukraine within the framework of international aid. The purpose of the work consists in a complex study of the peculiarities and problematic issues of the scientific-theoretical and organizational-legal aspects of the provision of the defense forces of Ukraine within the framework of international aid, with the development of recommendations for their solution. The methodological basis of the research is a set of general scientific and special legal methods (comparative, formal legal, modeling, historical), united by a systematic approach. During the implementation of the stage, the following was carried out: a review of scientific approaches to the essence, content and types of international assistance to the defense forces and related concepts; the state of normative regulation of the definition of concepts in the field of international aid is analyzed; the organizational and legal features of the provision of defense forces within the framework of international aid according to separate programs, forms, and methods are highlighted; the specifics of the implementation of control measures and checks by international partners as part of control over the use of the provided international aid are described; the process of functioning of international aid for the defense forces of Ukraine is schematically displayed; the historical features of the implementation of international aid in the military sphere are analyzed; the characteristic features, trends and prospects of providing the defense forces of Ukraine within the limits of international aid, which are necessary for the development of the relevant legislation of Ukraine, are highlighted.
