The analysis of theoretical and applied aspects of the application of alternative methods of toxicity research in the implementation of hygienic regulation of chemical production factors and prospects for their use in Ukraine showed that scientific developments on the replacement of vertebrate animals in experiments on the toxicity of chemical substances both in European countries and in other countries of the world much attention is paid and significant support is provided by state regulatory authorities. Validated alternative methods of toxicity studies are contained in publicly available databases and cover almost all types of toxic effects.
