Objective: to investigate the structural and morphofunctional changes in the test system of human non-small cell lung cancer cells (line A-549) in a resting state, irradiated with X-rays in the presence of the gadolinium-containing photon-capturing agent "Dotavist" and light of the optical range (red light ) in combination with the photosensitizer "Photolon". Research methods: method of transplantable culture of malignant human cells, methods of irradiation with X-rays, red light, cytological, statistical. The peculiarities of morphofunctional changes in the culture of malignant human cells under the separate and combined influence of two binary radiation technologies were investigated. It has been established that the combination of the applied photon-capturing technology and photodynamic influence increases the efficiency of devitalization of human non-small cell lung cancer cells (line A-549) in a resting state. The obtained results essentially form the basis of the preclinical stage of evaluating the effectiveness of drugs used in binary technologies, in particular "Dotavist" in the case of the photon capture method and "Photolon" for photodynamic therapy.
