 Among the early postoperative complications, seromas (8.5%) and prolonged lymphorrhea (6.8%) are the most common. Surgical treatment of postoperative large and giant ventral hernias, due to the development of intra-abdominal hypertension, often leads to the occurrence of abdominal compartment syndrome. In this age category, such defects of the abdominal wall can lead to a decrease in the quality of life, disability or even death.
