Purpose - to investigate the effect of a biologically active whey-based feed additive on the productivity, fattening and meat quality of pigs. To improve the absorption of nutrients by farm animals, increase their productivity and product quality, as well as reduce emissions of pollutants (nitrogen oxides, ammonia, carbon monoxide, phosphorus compounds) into the environment through the use of a biologically active feed additive based on whey. Research methods - the fattening and meat qualities of animals were studied using zootechnical methods; data processing was carried out using statistical methods. A fermented feed additive based on whey and biologically active substances, namely ash from husk combustion, was developed. Serum fermentation was carried out with the probiotic preparation EM 1. It was found that during the experimental period their physiological state was within the normal range. No cases of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and other systems were observed. The fermented feed additive, which was part of the diets of the experimental animals, had a pleasant sour smell and good taste, and therefore it contributed to their active eating of the daily concentrated feed. The positive effect of both whey and fermented feed additive on the biochemical parameters of blood serum of experimental pigs was established, which indicates the multidirectional effect of the studied additives. The fermented feed additive based on whey with the addition of ash from the combustion of grain waste as a source of minerals proved to be the best. The physicochemical composition of lard and meat, animals consuming the fermented feed additive were better than the control analogue. Product Description popup.authors Zinoviev Sergii H.
