Computational artificial intelligence based on neural networks is applied to improve the ability to detect defects in 3D printing and reduce the probability of defective products. Multi-task training of one neural network to perform several related tasks was used. These methods were applied in the intelligent defect identification system based on neural network technologies. Productivity and a high probability of detecting technological violations were increased, which contributed to the effective neutralization of 3D printing problems with selective laser melting.
