Registration Date 06-02-2024 Organization OG Vlokh Institute of Physical Optics of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine popup.description2 Nanostructurization effects were studied in metal-activated covalent-network glassy systems (CNGS) based on chalcogenide glasses (ChG), chalcohalide glasses (ChHG) and borate glasses (BG): 1. The peculiarities of the incorporation of metallic activators in the CNGS were recognized, and the following experimental samples of metal-activated systems were prepared: - Ga in ChG of binary As/Ge-S/Sе cut-section (bulk glassy ingots of As40Se60 (equivalent of stoichiometric As2Se3); Ga1(As0.4Se0.6)99; Ga2(As0.4Se0.6)98; Ga3(As0.4Se0.6)97; Ga4(As0.4Se0.6)96; Ga5(As0.4Se0.6)95); - CsCl in ChHG of quasi-binary GeS2-Ga2S3 cut-section (bulk (80GeS2-20Ga2S3)100-x(CsCl)x glasses - (80GeS2-20Ga2S3), (80GeS2-20Ga2S3)95(CsCl)5, (80GeS2-20Ga2S3)90(CsCl)10, (80GeS2-20Ga2S3)85(CsCl)15 and 65GeS2-25Ga2S3-10CsCl); - Ag and Cu in BG of Li2B4O7 type (the metal-activated Li2B4O7:Ag and Li2B4O7:Gd,Ag; LiKB4O7:Ag and LiKB4O7:Gd,Ag; Li2B4O7:Er and Li2B4O7:Er,Ag bulk glassy specimens). 2. The spectral dependences of optical transmission in fundamental absorption edge region were studied in ChHG based on ChG (As/Ge-S/S-Ga), ChHG (65GeS2-25Ga2S3-10CsCl) and BG (Li2B4O7:Gd,Ag – Li2B4O7:Ag; LiKB4O7:Ag – LiKB4O7:Gd,Ag; Li2B4O7:Er –Li2B4O7:Er,Ag). 3. Employing X-ray diffraction analysis in application to the first sharp diffraction peak (XRD-FSDP) and positron-electron annihilation spectroscopy in lifetime measuring mode (PALS), the parameters of atomic-specific and atomic-deficient structural species in metal-activated ChG, ChHG and BG were calculated. The microstructure mechanisms of metallic doping in the above-mentioned CNGS and LiB3O5 ceramics were identified. The methodology of functionalization (due to nanosized inhomogeneities incorporated under metallic doping) was developed for CNGS based on ChG, ChHG and BG with optimized characteristics for reliable optoelectronic elements, IR photonics, sensorics and opto-telecommunication techniques.
