Research Object: The process of training specialists in occupational therapy.
Purpose of the Work: Scientific substantiation of organizational, methodological, psychological, and pedagogical conditions for improving the training of specialists in occupational therapy at the undergraduate level.
Research Methods: Scientometric analysis of contemporary theoretical and methodological principles of training specialists in occupational therapy at the undergraduate level.
An analysis of literature dedicated to modern trends in updating the system of professional training of future specialists in physical therapy and occupational therapy in higher education institutions has been conducted. The formation of readiness for work with patients of future occupational therapy specialists in higher education institutions should be carried out using an accentuated influence of modern teaching techniques, functional complexes, simulators, and scientific (medical) instruments. It has been established that the organization and content of clinical practice for physical therapists and occupational therapists in the process of professional training should focus on the personality of the higher education seeker and combine educational-methodical, analytical-search, and scientific-research activities. The main indicators of the effectiveness of professional training for physical therapists and occupational therapists in higher education institutions include professional, psychological, personal, physical, practical, pedagogical, and social components. A marker of the professionalism of a future specialist is their ability to improve the quality of life of the client through health-preserving technologies and special corrective measures.
In the perspective, conducting a pedagogical experiment is planned.
