The object of the study is the food industry and its branches by region of Ukraine. The subject of the study is methodological approaches to compiling certification of the main branches of the food industry and developing industry models. The most significant results are: methodological approach to the preparation of analytical materials for certification of the main sectors of the food industry; passport templates and a system of indicators for certification of the main sectors of the food industry; passports for the activities of the main sectors of the food industry for 2020 (industries for the production of meat and meat products, the production of dairy products, the production of bread, bakery and flour products, the production of sugar and alcohol); methodological approach to sectoral certification of the food industry in the regions of Ukraine for the meat, dairy, baking, sugar industries; a methodological approach to the development of sectoral models of the functioning of the food products industry; assessment of the self-sufficiency of consumption of Ukrainian regions with their own food products and assessment of selected criteria for increasing production volumes.
