The object of research is the genes polymorphism, those involved in the sheep development of certain quantitative and qualitative productive traits. Research methods are molecular genetic (PCR-PDRF), population genetic. In accordance to the results of PCR-PDRF analysis by the CAST, GH and CLPG genes, were investigated the sheep populations genetic structures of the Ascanian Meat-and-Wool breed (AMW), the Ascanian Fine-Fleeced breed (AFF) and their hybrids with the Merinolandschaf and Texel breeds, as well as the growth and development of different genotypes young animals. It was established that CAST and GH genes are polymorphic, and CLPG is monomorphic. According to the growth hormone gene, the genotyped AFF animals and crossbreeds are characterized by a high concentration of the G allele (0.525 – 0.714), and for the calpastatin gene – the M allele (0.719 – 0.983). Population genetic parameters (Ho, He, Fis, PIC, χ2) were calculated by CAST and GH genes. Young sheep with GH GG and CAST MM genotypes are characterized by a high level of live weight development compared to their peers. According to the research results, a method of assessment, selection and forecasting of the sheep meat productivity level development at an early age has been developed.
