Research objects – structural reorientation of the sheep breeding industry; indicators of the export potential of lamb meat; bio-economic principles of lamb meat and mutton market development based on high-tech production; formation of the sheep breeding industry breeding resources export potential. Research methods - methods and techniques of economic research: dialectical, balance, statistical-economic (grouping, correlation-regression analysis), calculation-constructive and factorial, abstract-logical, analytical, forecasting ones. It has been established that the creation of export-oriented meat sheep farming in Ukraine is possible provided that production is organized on an industrial basis. Due to the fact that the production of lamb meat requires the creation of a full-fledged fodder base with an increased share (up to 50-60% in terms of nutrition) of concentrated feed with a digestible protein content of 16-17%, it is advisable to place it in regions that specialize in growing cereals, soybeans and sunflowers. The organization of production should be carried out according to the cluster type.
