ABSTRACT SRWreport:69 pgs,9 tables,6 figs,60 sources.COMPETITIVENESS OF THE TOURISM INDUSTRY,STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT OF TOURIST REGION DEVELOPMENT,ORGANIZATIONAL AND ECONOMIC MECHANISM FOR THE DEVELOPMENT TOURIST`S REGION.Object of the research: processes of strategic management of tourist enterprises as subjects of the regional tourist market.Subject of the research:theoretical, methodological and applied principles of substantiation of perspective areas of development of tourist regions of Ukraine (ex.the Azov Sea region).Purpose of the research:to develop scientific and practical recommendations for the development of the tourist region.Methodological basis includes various methods of scientific research:comparison,systematization and generalization;economic,statistical analysis.Scientific novelty of the results of the scientific research are as follows:formed a long-term strategy for the tourist regions development,which is based on a combination of formal and informal relationships of their social,economic and environmental systems and provides,depending on the specific situation,the application of one of the following concepts: radical change; further growth; selective growth;preservation of the achieved level;developed a mechanism for forming a strategy for the tourist and recreational potential of regions development in the context of ensuring the competitiveness of the tourism industry based on a level approach;improved the organizational and economic mechanism for the tourist region.Scientific results of the research are the original theoretical and methodological basis forsubstantiating the critical areas of development of Ukraine’s tourist regions in current conditio. Results of the research have been implemented in the educational procesprocess of the Department of Marketing and Tourism,ESIM,MSU.The proposals presentedin the research have found practical application in the activities of tourism enterprises
