Object of study - physical, chemical and technological processes of obtaining cordierite ceramics with a specified complex of physical and technical properties. Purpose - to develop the compositions and physical and chemical bases of energy-saving technology of fine porous cordierite ceramics, which has a set of special properties and is used for the manufacture of catalyst carriers. Research methods - calculation and basic physical and chemical research methods. Technological parameters of manufacturing, features of microstructure and phase composition were investigated, chemical and material composition of fine porous cordierite ceramics for catalyst carriers was developed, according to which a new technical solution was proposed and 1 application for obtaining a protection document of Ukraine for an object of intellectual property rights (invention) was filed. A mathematical model was developed to determine the main technical and operational properties of fine porous cordierite ceramics for catalyst carriers. A technological instruction for the manufacture of fine porous cordierite ceramics for catalyst carriers was developed. An experimental sample of fine-porous cordierite ceramics for catalyst carriers was manufactured. Areas of application: C 23.44 Manufacture of other ceramic products for technical purposes; C 26.51 Manufacture of instruments and equipment for measurement, research and navigation; C 30.30 Manufacture of aerial and space aircraft and related equipment.
