Oscillatory processes in the drive of a hybrid car with a combined power plant and DMM during acceleration and parallel operation of the internal combustion engine and ED were studied. A mathematical and simulation model was developed for the drive of a car with DMM during the period of starting from a standstill. Using the example of an M1 class car, the influence of the intensity of its acceleration when starting from a standstill in the first gear with different durations of reaching a given number of revolutions of the crankshaft and, accordingly, the torque created by the internal combustion engine, was investigated. To determine the frequency of use of gears of a mechanical stepped transmission, the feasibility of using as typical basic and equivalent driving cycles has been confirmed. The highest values of the frequency of use of gears are achieved during the implementation of equivalent driving cycles. Accordingly, the smallest ones are in the process of implementing basic driving cycles. A finite-difference mesh model of the drum brake was created in the "Fourier-2x,y,z" software environment, which made it possible to obtain the flow of temperature curves of heating and cooling of its counter body during tests of the I bus BOGDAN A091. Modeling the process made it possible to obtain the character of the influence of the heat transfer coefficient, the thickness of the walls of the counter bodies and the intensity of heat release in the friction pairs on the coefficient of distribution of heat flows in the drum brake elements during the vehicle tests.
