The general aim of the project is aimed at developing the architecture of subsystems of hybrid-electric aircraft (HEA), determining the energy distribution of two sources at the stage of take-off and climb of the HEA, carrying out an environmental assessment of the operation efficiency of the HEA for a typical flight profile, as a complex source of environmental impact. The solution of these tasks made it possible to develop tools for estimating fuel consumption, reducing the impact of aircraft noise, and emissions of aircraft engines on the environment. An-26 regional aircraft was used as the base aircraft. A new methodology for the conceptual design of regional HEA has been developed. The new methodology differs from the existing ones in that it allows taking into account noise emissions, fuel consumption at the stage of aircraft design/modernization when determining the degree of its hybridization. Results: developed software products for the calculation of: the working process of gas turbine engines, calculations of the flight profile of aircraft with hybrid power plants, calculations of noise characteristics of aircraft at the take-off and landing stages, fuel consumption with traditional and hybrid power plants, calculations of pollutant emission parameters of aircraft with traditional and hybrid power plants. Novelty: studies of the efficiency of modernization of regional aircraft by replacing the power plant with a hybrid one have been carried out. The developed new conceptual model for the design of regional air transport systems based on the conditions of ecologically optimal operation of hybrid regional aircraft confirmed the prospects of the design and operation of this class of aircraft.
