The aim: to characterize categorical and pragmatic aspects of the lexical identity in national language. Methodology of lexical identity in a national language research in the updated scientific knowledge paradigm has been developed. The repost analyzes the interconnected internationalization and nationalization processes in the language (on the example of Ukrainian and French) through the interaction and competition of foreign and native tokens. It traces the evolution of views on the borrowing process as well as ways of forming language standards. The study determines the extralingual and intralingual factors which influence the foreign words entering lexicon of a national language. It analyzes semantic and stylistic parameters of new loanwords in different discourse types. The conducted research identifies word formation models that support the typological features of the nomination when a national language functions in the new socio-political circumstances. For the first time, the research offers an integrated approach to new borrowings studying. New loanwords are analyzed with conceptual parameters in the cognitive linguistics framework, with lexical and semantic parameters in the lexicology and semasiology framework, with stylistic parameters in the linguistic stylistics framework, with formal and structural parameters in the word-formation framework, and with socio-normative parameters in the language culture framework. Implementation effectiveness, field of use. The results were introduced into the educational process of higher education institutions and applied during the consultative activities on language issues in local organizations and institutions.
