Methodologies for synthesizing novel Nitrogen-containing compounds, including pyrazoles, oxazoles, isoxazoles, pyrimidines, isoquinolines, benzodiazepines, and their functionalized derivatives, including spirocyclic and isosteric analogs, fluoro-, phosphorus-containing, and amino acid derivatives, have been developed. The flavonoid composition of the aerial parts of E. annuus flora in Ukraine, collected during flowering in Sumy region, has been investigated. The synthesis methodology of the natural chalcone – Licochalcone C has been developed, and the synthesis of structurally related retrochalcones – Licoagrochalcones B, C, and D has been proposed. An efficient synthetic approach to unsubstituted 5- and 7-azachromones has been developed, potentially improving the pharmacological profile of the compound as a prospective candidate for medicinal use. This improvement includes the reduction of toxicity, enhancement of metabolism, and increased solubility and affinity. Pioneering synthetic methods have been established for substituted trifluoromethylcyclopropanes, bicyclo[2.1.0]pentanes, bicyclo[2.2.2]octylglycine, pyrazoles, and pyrazolines with a phosphinoxide group, 2,2-disubstituted and 2,2,3-trisubstituted 1,4-dioxane building blocks, β-hydroxycyclopentane-/cyclohexane-, β-cis-fluorocyclopentane-/cyclohexane-carboxylic acids and their methyl esters, as well as approaches to the synthesis, physico-chemical characteristics, and structural features of 2-(trifluoroacetyl)oxazoles, 2-(difluoromethyl)-1-R-imidazoles, and 3-(trifluoromethyl)cyclobut-1-ene-carboxylate have been explored.
