37 volumes of the Chronicle of Nature contain the results of biocenotic monitoring of the natural ecosystems of the Rostochye reserve for 2023, the core of which is nature reserve. Particular attention is paid to the study of rare and background species of vertebrate animal species, higher plants, and their populations in the nature of the Roztochye Nature Reserve. Meteorological studies have established that the natural year 2023 began on November 22, 2022 and ended on November 21, 2023, lasted 364 days, the length of the year was 364 days. Meteorological winter lasted 107 days, accounting for 29%; spring lasted 89 days (25%), summer lasted 131 days (36%), lasted 37 days - the shortest period of the natural year (10%). The winter was long, but warm, with frequent thaws: the average daily temperature in winter was +1.4˚С, which is 2.9˚С higher than the average value for the last 25 years, the average daily temperature in summer was 0.5˚С lower for the average 25-year data, however, season length was 47% longer than the 25-year average. In 2023, 23 new localities of 15 species of rare species of higher vascular plants were discovered and mapped on the territory of the Rostochye biosphere reserve. Monitoring of mammals continued with the help of 18 camera traps, 370 observations of 10 species of mammals were made, and 1,637 observations of 125 species of birds were made. o collect and store information, the Android ObsMapp application was used with subsequent import of observations into the SMART system. In 2023, for the first time in the reserve, automated acoustic monitoring of birds by voices began using the Song Meter Micro acoustic receiver; about 1,800 hours of acoustic data were collected; over 6 months of operation of the device, 240 thousand registrations of bird calls were collected. The presence of 7 rare species was confirmed in the territory: Grus grus, Columba oenas, Anas strepera, Numenius arquataHaliaeetus albicilla, Pandion haliaetus .
