popup.description1
Development of a scientific concept for the creation of multicomponent nanocomposite structures with controlled electrodynamic parameters based on the establishment of general patterns in the correlation between the type of composite structure and electromagnetic response, characterized by high ability to shield and absorb microwave radiation. energy dissipation of electromagnetic waves during their propagation through multilayer KM structures.
popup.description2
The research planned for the second stage of the NDR was completed in full and a number of new original results were obtained, which deepen the scientific knowledge about the mechanisms of electromagnetic waves energy dissipation and the features of electromagnetic radiation (EMR) propagation of in heterogeneous composite media.
Composite structures (CS) with selective distribution of nanocarbon and inorganic fillers in the polymer matrix were developed, including multilayer structures with different types of components - composite layers with a large number of interphase boundaries, highly porous carbon layers, and CS were also manufactured using 3D printing polymer layers.
The possibility of controlling the reflection, absorption, and transmission indices of electromagnetic radiation (EMR), as well as a significant increase in the width of EMR absorption bands on the example of multilayer composite structures due to the creation of a heterogeneous medium with variable electrodynamic parameters (permittivity and magnetic permeability) in the direction of EMR propagation, has been demonstrated experimentally and by modelling. It was found that the gradient distribution of nanocarbon content in 3-layer CS leads to a change in the balance between the EMR reflection R and absorption A indices that results in decrease of reflection (R 0.05-0.1) due to a good matching of impedances at the first "air-CS" boundary and an increase in EMR absorption (A 0.9-0.95) inside the CS. The regularities in the correlation between the type of composite structure and the mechanisms of electromagnetic response in the microwave frequency range (from 1 to 67 GHz) were determined.
