The subject of the study is the preparation of a future teacher for the implementation of the principle of continuity in teaching natural sciences in general secondary education and higher education. The purpose of the study is to develop theoretical and methodological foundations for preparing a future teacher to implement the principle of continuity in teaching natural sciences. Methods of the study: theoretical: comparative analysis of scientific and methodological sources regulatory and legislative documents generalisation systematisation; empirical: observation, conversations testing interviews expert evaluation Results and their novelty: the problem of preparing a future teacher to implement the principle of continuity in teaching natural sciences in general secondary education and higher education institutions was investigated and analysed; the technology of preparing a future teacher to implement the principle of continuity in teaching natural sciences was developed and experimentally tested; the author's methodological tools for preparing a future teacher to implement the principle of continuity in teaching natural sciences in institutions of higher education were introduced. The results of the study are presented in 153 scientific and methodological works. Characteristics of the research results: the problem of training future teachers to implement the principle of continuity in teaching natural sciences in general secondary and higher education institutions was studied. Significance and practical application of the research: the use of innovative technologies for training future teachers improvement of methods and approaches to teaching development of programmes and courses taking into account the principle of continuity in natural sciences.
