popup.description1
Development and testing of an experimental sample of an electronic equipment protection element against destructive pulses of electromagnetic radiation based on functional film layers of cadmium telluride.
popup.description2
The characteristics of electromagnetic pulses of the microwave and optical range and the conditions of their application for the study of fast-switching processes in experimental samples based on cadmium telluride have been determined. It has been established that the functional damage of amplifiers in the receiving path of UAV radio communications and electronics occurs when exposed to microwave pulses with a power of up to 1 GW, a duration of 0.5-4.5 ns, and a pulse repetition frequency of 1-100 Hz or microwave pulses with a frequency of 2-3 GHz with a maximum in the region of 1-2 GHz and a duration of 200-270 ps. A design solution for a planar architecture electronic equipment protection element has been developed, which can be integrated into electronic equipment microcircuits. The technological principles for manufacturing prototype samples of planar architecture protection elements based on the (Al2O3)/Mo/CdTe system have been developed and practically implemented. A series of model prototype samples have been manufactured. The optical photolithography method has been practically implemented for manufacturing prototype samples of protection elements according to the design solution with characteristic dimensions up to 7.5 microns. Tests of the manufactured samples have been carried out, and the possibility of using the proposed structure as protection elements of electronic equipment has been confirmed. It has been established that the response time of the test samples is about 2.5 ns. The voltage drop time after the element has been triggered is about 4 ns. The residual voltage on the studied samples is, on average, about 65 V. The practical effectiveness of the proposed design solution - a protection element for radio-electronic equipment - the ability of the (Al2O3)/Mo/CdTe structure to repeatedly switch between states with low and high levels of electrical conductivity under the influence of high voltage pulses has been experimentally established.
