During the reporting period, obtained models for the calculation of the elements of the spin-orbital coupling matrix for complex metallic and elementary organic semiconductors. It was within the framework of the self-consistent field method in the full active space of configurational interaction. Modeling of the optical properties of plasmonic silver nanoparticles of different sizes and geometric shapes has been carried out. It was found that a change in the nanoparticles size leads to a redistribution of the electric field on the surface. Its maximum electric field voltage falls on the sharp tops of the particles. A study was made of a composite material containing a randomly dispersed ensemble of ellipsoidal nanoparticles of different shapes and sizes in an organic semiconductor matrix. It is shown that the change in the refractive index of the organic semiconductor matrix mainly affects only the size of the scattering cross section of the ensemble of ellipsoidal nanoparticles dispersed in it. The modeling of the transport properties of electric carriers in an experimentally fabricated OLED with quantum wells in its architecture was performed. The influence of the well width, the number of quantum wells on the distribution of carriers in them was studied. The one-dimensional stationary Schrödinger equation has been used to calculate the discrete levels of electrons and holes in quantum wells. A strong localization of discrete electron and hole levels in quantum wells is observed, which corresponds to a significant increase of the modulus of wave functions inside these wells. It was found that in order to increase the energy of discrete levels, it is necessary to form quantum wells with a width 5 nm. The fabrication of OLEDs with the MQW structure using the vacuum deposition method did not show a decrease in quantum efficiency at high operating voltages, which is a characteristic problem of traditional OLEDs.
