Research on the structural strength of the middle section of the body of a three-section tram car of the type ВЕ 4/8 of the TRAM 2000-M series as a result of the conversion of a two-section tram of the type ВЕ 4/6 TRAM 2000 m. Zurich (according to the Vinnytsia Transport Company). The models that were initially developed, later other variants of this type were created for VBZ, as well as for other Swiss operators and for the Italian city of Genoa, which, with modernization, continue to be used by the initial users. 35 units of TRAM 2000-M have already been received by the VTK. The calculation of the structural strength of the middle section of the body of a three-section tram car of the type ВЕ 4/8 of the TRAM 2000-M series was performed under static and skew-symmetric loading. The calculation of the strength of the tram body confirms that mechanical stresses in dangerous sections do not exceed permissible values, and with quality control of welding work and proper operation, its reliability and service life can be guaranteed in accordance with the technical conditions.
