The possibility of using 6-mercapto-1-hexanol and lipoic acid to modify the surface of GNPs was analyzed in order to improve their colloidal stability in chemical conditions that allow DNA hybridization. The colloidal stability of nanoparticles before and after modification in various chemical environments was studied. The possibility of using the studied GNPs in biosensor analysis was shown, and the optimal conditions for their functioning and long-term storage were determined. A new design of a hybridization DNA biosensor with modified GNPs based on SPR spectrometry was tested. Biosensor systems operating using modified GNPs were characterized by better sensitivity to DNA markers than a traditional DNA biosensor. Based on the data obtained during the study, the prospects of using modified NSCs as components of DNA hybridization systems for detecting genetic markers have been proven.
