The object of the study is the professional activity of teachers in educating children with special educational needs. The purpose of the study is to conduct a theoretical analysis of the problem of implementing a humanistic approach in educating children with special educational needs, to study and determine ways, forms, methods and means of improving the cognitive, motivational and activity components of educating children with special educational needs through the prism of a humanistic approach. The study found that a humanistic approach contributes to the formation of a sense of self-worth, self-respect and trust in the environment in children with special needs, which is important for their full development and social integration. The study proves that in the context of raising children with special educational needs, the humanistic approach involves: an individual approach (taking into account the characteristics of each child, their needs and abilities, which allows creating optimal conditions for development); empathy and support (creating a friendly atmosphere in which the child feels accepted, taking into account their emotional and psychological needs), inclusivity (ensuring access of children with special educational needs to the general educational environment, which contributes to their integration into society), promotion of self-expression (development of children's abilities for self-expression, critical thinking, creativity, which helps them adapt to the world around them), equality of rights (every child has the right to quality education and support regardless of their special needs, and this should be ensured through adapted teaching methods).
