The purpose of the work is to improving the quality of the practical component of the educational process by introducing innovations during practical classes at the Institute of Public Administration and Research in Civil Protection and educational and methodological centers of civil protection and life safety in the regions and Kyiv. Research methods: the analytical research method was applied (analysis of domestic and foreign regulatory framework, guidance and technical documents, information brochures, manuals, reference books and other literary sources, information from the Internet on the chosen research direction.) The methodological basis is a complex of general scientific methods of cognition - analysis, synthesis, abstraction, generalization, induction and deduction. The search and bibliographic method was also used - to systematize scientific works on the subject of the study. When forming the conceptual and categorical apparatus, structural-functional methods and methods of generalization and scientific abstraction were used. The analysis of approaches to understanding the essence of the practical component of the educational process was carried out using dialectical and system-structural methods. When substantiating the priority areas for improving the quality of the practical component of the educational process, the method of logical generalization was used. Main results - an analysis of information and experience regarding conducting classes in educational and methodological centers of civil protection and life safety of the regions and the city of Kyiv, the Institute of Public Administration and Research in Civil Protection was conducted.
