Registration Date 29-12-2024 Organization National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy popup.description1 Development of a comprehensive logistics management system for the use of coastal areas of the Black Sea and inland waterways of Ukraine, as part of the Trans-European Transport Network in Ukraine, along with the creation of a network model for the logistics infrastructure of Southern Ukraine and its management system. This will take into account natural, natural-technological risks, and emergencies to ensure the country's geospatial development, national security, and defense capabilities popup.description2 A study has been conducted on the current state of navigable waterways and the impact of hostilities on their condition in the context of their usability, focusing on the inland waterways of southern Ukraine, including the "Danube-Black Sea" route, the Dnipro, and the Southern Bug. The study identified natural and man-made objects, including potential navigational hazards. An assessment of the current state of hydraulic structures ensuring navigation in southern Ukraine was carried out, including their safe operation under the influence of hostilities, destruction, and temporary occupation, as well as the potential for their restoration. Research was also conducted on the current state of the transportation network in southern Ukraine, specifically highways and railways, and the negative consequences of the war for their usage were determined. The study analyzed the possibilities and prospects for expanding navigable waterways in Ukraine during the war and in the post-war recovery phase. The feasibility of expanding navigation on the Danube River through the routes Ukraine (Reni, Izmail, Ust-Dunaisk) – Galați; Ukraine – Regensburg; and Ukraine – Constanța was substantiated. The obtained results allowed for the justification of forming an updated logistics infrastructure system for southern Ukraine under wartime conditions, taking into account the consequences of the war (destruction, temporary occupation, etc.). This system includes the use of inland waterways, integration into the Rhine-Danube corridor, and the combined use of road and rail transport. The study is characterized by the integration of socio-geographical, geophysical, chemical-biological, and economic-mathematical research methods, GIS technologies, and remote sensing data, which represent an innovative approach to addressing the challenges of integrated management of the country’s critical infrastructure and its transport-logistics component.
